Assuming he signs with the Yankees again (just about guaranteed), Jeter will be playing Short for at least 3 more years.  Then we can debate where he will play.  Everybody is talking about his lack of range and throwing errors (me included), but I don’t think his defensive deficiencies will prevent the Yankees from making the playoffs or will cause them to lose the world series.  The Yankees will let him do whatever he wants to do and for the forseeable future he wants to play shortstop.
