Start of the Season
by John BRuss….I think that if the Yankees are under .500 by the end of April…the pitching coach will be changed. If they remain under .500 by end of May with no signs of improvement….Girardi will be replaced.
I also think that Burnett and Pettitte will be the rock of this pitching staff. I have no reason for thinking that other than a gut instinct. I thought the same prior to the start of the season.

i don’t want to sound like i am in a panic, but there’s stiff competition in our division. also bad starts only conjure up feelings from last year. one of my themes from last year was the inadequacies of the coaching staff. whereas guys may have gotten a pass last year there should no free tickets this year. i just have no confidence in this staff. maybe thats unjustified, i dont know.
