While watching last night’s game, I thought I noticed a difference in Burnett’s performance with Posada than with Molina. My theory was that Burnett performed better with Molina behind the plate.

So, I thought it might be worthwhile doing a comparision of each starter’s outing based on who caught them to start the game. I also excluded all starts from Wang. Although, it’s worth noting that Molina did not catch Wang in any of his 2009 starts. 

1. Posada caught the starter in 14 games. The record in those games is 7-7.  Remove Wang and the record is 7-4
2. Molina caught the starter in 8 games. The record in those games is 5-3.
