Yes, the Yankees took a “dump” in the Boston series. The Yankees were outclassed by a better, hungrier team with a better manager. Dumb mistakes on the field and on the base paths were the theme of the series. I thought the game Posada caught Wednesday exemplified why he is not a good receiver (passed balls, poor selection of pitches, not framing the pitch, etc.). Cervelli did a good job last night and three solid at bats with one big hit. A-Rod presses in Boston, though he got a big hit last night.

All of a sudden Cano is in a bad slump. I like his potential but the difference in his at bats and those of Pedroia (I am sick of him, Big Nothing, etc.) are startling. Pedroi’s walk in the eight inning shows why he is a MVP. Did you notice that Big Nothing hits the Yankees like batting practice?

For those who think Gardner is a big league center fielder jut look at his throw last night. It was pathetic. Too bad Sabathia lost that game since he pitched his heart out and deserved better. How about Damon dropping a easy fly ball in left?

Also, I am sick of hearing what great line up the Yankees have. They hit home runs with the bases empty and they do not hit in the clutch.

Big changes are needed if they will beat the Red Sox this year and I am not sure they have the talent and heart to win. Girardi shares some of the blame.
