Its a shame about Joba. He has great stuff, but I believe he was rushed up from the minors too quickly. And then add the crazy bullpen to starter to bullpen to starter....his head might be messed up now. I think he needs a good 1/2 year to year in the minors. I also believe he should be converted into a full time reliever now considering your rotation contracts, and that is what he is proven best at, at least at the MLB level:
(might be wrong on these)
CC -7 years
AJ- 5 years
Wang- Arbitration?
Phil Hughes- Arbitration --- more suited for starters role and seems to be pitching ok.

Even though Wang has struggled, he seems to be coming around. I believe you have 4 capable starters you need to stick with. You have Pettite to be the 3rd/4th/5th starter until he retires. You also need a capable sixth starter from either a cheap trade or free agent(mark mulder?)

Your hitting is good, not great, but good enough to win. I think your team is in ok shape, but needs some reorganization to be at top form.

Go Sox.

A starting pitcher in baseball doesn't need to be as smart as a NFL quarterback, but Joba is way under baseline. He should be fined every time he brushes off the catcher's signs until he can prove he knows how to manage a pitching strategy. And 98 mph fastballs are not something that get rediscovered because you left them in your other pair of pants, that's gone for good.
