Tired of Waiting

I’ve been tired of waiting too.  Now… let’s see that another pitcher that Cashman and Girardi have ruined.  By “babying” him, not letting him take his lumps and helping out the bullpen and the team, they have created a “diva.”   The mutiny on the pitching staff toward Jorge is a little much too.  Girardi needs [...]

Tired of waiting

For Joba to become a legitimate starter.  Well, I believe it ain’t gonna happen.  He’s got good stuff.  Although, I don’t know where his 96mph fastball went.  What he doen’t have is smarts.  He’s too dumb to be a starter. He is probably smart enough to be a reliever.  With 2 strikess, everyone in the [...]

Sammy Sosa

Congress is looking at him again re: his earlier steroid testimony – perjury perhaps?  Sammy thought he was home free with his original defense when he testfied alongside Palmiero and McGwire. Remember the “no speakee the englee” defense? It was so effective then it may have reviewed in law journals. Don’t think it will work this [...]

Outpitched

After last night’s game, Posada was interviewed and said, “it felt like the old Wang.”  Pronouncing it phonetically, not correctly as “Wong”, of course.  Don’t think Jorge realized he got off a funny there.  Guess Wang pitched not extremely crappy so he gets  another start.
I called my son during the game, the Nats winning pitcher  John Lannan [...]

Yanks in three-way talks involving Marlins Hanley Ramirez

Are the Yankees, San Fran Giants, and Marlins in talks that include H-Ram? Is this possible?
Hanley Ramirez and Nick Swisher to the San Fran Giants.
Matt Cain and Aaron Rowand to the New York Yankees.
Phil Hughes, Melky Cabrera, Madison Bumgarner (Giants, LHP prospect), Buster Posey (Giants C, prospect) to the Florida Marlins

U.S. Open

Ok.  I bought tickets to the U.S. Open thinking that I would use them for marketing purposes, except no on can go.  FANTASTIC!!!
Anyway, I’ve got 4 tickets for each round, Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sunday.  I’m definitely going Sunday (asking my dad and father in law).  Knowing the Roundtable is full of Golf players/fans, is anyone interested [...]

The Nationals

It was close for a while last night, but the Nats are once again proof that MLB in the Washington D.C. area is a waste of life. From the old Washington Senators whose only victory was in fiction in “Damn Yankees” to the flight to Texas to the Expos to this year where they could [...]

Upgrade

I’m attempting to update the site today.  So… if you see any weirdness or lose access, that’s why. Sorry for the inconvenience, but with no game yesterday and a slow day at work, it seemed like a good time.

UPDATE: The upgrade should be complete.  Let me know if there are any problems.

Joba Shakeoff.

By the way, the other night Joba was constantly shaking off Jorge.  The result, Joba walked 3 guys and hit 2 in a single inning and had thrown over 100 pitches in 5 innings.  Maybe next time he should try listening to Jorge.  Joba has not earned the right to shake off a veteran like Jorge.   Speaking of young pitchers shaking [...]

Santana must have had a bite of the Sandwich

Well played sir…..well played.
I’ll admit it, I thought we had no shot on Sunday.  The nice thing was that the initial 4 runs off Santana came without a home run.  Then the home runs started flying.
Another thing, the Army Black Nights parachutted into the stadium on Sunday.  They had one guy jump in 5 minutes before [...]
