Are you sure Santana and A.J. didn’t have plastic surgery, change teams, and pitch yesterday. That’s two awful outings for Santana, he’s pitching as bad as Wang.
Beating him was a bigger gift than the dropped pop-up – Guess Mike T. will be selling that bridge re: his comment of last week on the Yanks chances [...]

I guess Johnny Damon and Nick Swisher are not the only two players that drop pop ups.

Bringing in Mo in the 8th. Girardi is panicking. The only thing that made me smile tonight was John’s post.

Trade Brett Gardner to the Tampa Bay Rays for Don Zimmer. Hal Steinbrenner apologizes to Zimmer; Uses father’s decline as excuse for Zimmer’s perceived mistreatment. Girardi gets on-the-job training….which he desperately needs. A gut instinct guy to counter Joe’s  notepad management style.
Fire Tony Pena: He didn’t do anything wrong, but someone needs to tell Girardi, “That’s dumb Joe.”
Don [...]

Yes, the Yankees took a “dump†in the Boston series. The Yankees were outclassed by a better, hungrier team with a better manager. Dumb mistakes on the field and on the base paths were the theme of the series. I thought the game Posada caught Wednesday exemplified why he is not a good receiver (passed [...]

Well that was a fun series. So much for the “The Red Sox haven’t played this Yankee Team” B.S. Seriously, why is it that Boston can seemingly get hits at will in the clutch, while the Yankees pitchers can’t get anyone out. Is there any doubt in anyones’ mind that if the Yankees had bases [...]

Hey, I like the Subway series, but the last three games have drained my anticipation totally. Boston just smashed us game one, pulled ahead and held off our rally attempt game two, and overcame our late inning lead game three. They own us up and down every level of the respective organizations, ownership to beer vendors. [...]

Girardi is overmanaging and undermanaging. In some situations he is absent…and in others he is obtrusive. So yes…inconsistent.
Remember Fred Thompson’s line in “The Hunt for Red October”???? “Russians don’t take a dump, son, without a plan.” Well…that’s Girardi. Which also means that he isn’t quick on his feet. He can’t consistently make good decisions on [...]

Agreed. Also, this may be nit-picking but, in the eighth last night, Girardi puts in Gardner to pinch run and then has Melky sacrifice him to second instead of having Gardner steal. Kottaras wasn’t going to throw out anybody, let alone Gardner. Girardi gave away an out. Then in the 9th he has the same [...]
