On first place: This is a very streaky team with very streaky hitters. They can look extremely capable or unbelieveably inept from series to series. A bad series could easily send this team into a tailspin. So, I am tempering my enthusiasm until I see them beat the Red Sox.

Yes, first place is nice. Problem is when the rubber meets the road we seem to be in a pattern of sweeping the opposition or getting swept and if we face the Red Sox or Angels we are the sweepees not the sweepors.
