Digg it… Hard Times Ahead for Injured Wang

This article about a Yankees pitcher wound up on Digg today solely because of the headline: Hard Times Ahead for Injured Wang.
Somebody thinks they’re funny. There were a couple of good lines in the comments, but the funniest thing was that an ad for Viagra was running next to the article.

Ok Andy…

That was better.
Let’s see what new rotation member Sergio can give us.

Ok Joba….

That was better.  He must have read the Roundtable and all of the criticsim that came his way.  I’m not going crazy though… I need to see more.  I need to see it against a team with a credible offense (Tigers are built on pitching and defense right now).  Also, can  he stop referring to [...]

Trades, Trades & Automobiles

The Red Sox are sooooooo desperate to make a deal here. They probably feel like they have enough talent to move/spare to obtain Halladay. Except of course, Toronto cannot trade him within the division. Even if no extension is worked out. Putting him in the same division to one of their [...]

Red Sox Trade

I fully expect the Red Sox to make some kind of unexpected blockbuster deal. Like for Oswalt and Berkman…or for Adrian Gonzalez…

On a lighter not trade related note

Sports Illustrated this week quoting Phil Coke after his visit backstage to a professional wrestling match, “It’s real, because you have to put a lot of time into learning how not to kill someone by accident.”
That’s funny, you slay me, Phil.

Trade

John, for those exact reasons the Giants don’t make this deal.  Why would they want to pick up Halladay’s salary or have to negotiate with him afetr next year.  I don’t think the Giants do this.  It costs them too much $.

Trade

That trade also makes sense because it ensures that Halladay doesn’t go to the Red Sox…and that he goes to the NL where the Yanks won’t have to face him.
Plus…the 25 year old Cain is a better long term option than the 32 year old Halladay.
Also, Chamberlain or Hughes could be leveraged for a position [...]

Trade

Where do I sign?   Do it.  I would prefer to have Rios, but I could live with Rowand.  I would make either of those deals.  Jeter could move to second and Pena could play short (or vice versa).  The drop in offense would not be so unbelievable (with Rowand or Rios) that you couldn’t do it.  [...]

Trade

Halladay/ Cano/  Swisher (Giants), Cain/ Rowand (Yankees), Jonathan Sanchez/Prospects (Blue Jays)…
OR…
Halladay/ Cano/  Swisher (Giants), Cain/ Rios (Yankees), Jonathan Sanchez/Prospects (Blue Jays)…
Ok, Discuss.
