I don’t blame Theo for doing this. His starting rotation is in trouble and there are no viable options available.  So, do the next best thing… beef up the bullpen.  I don’t think this does much of anything.  Wagner is 11 months out of a Surgery that usually takes 14 – 15 months from which to recover.  He will not be a difference maker.  If he stinks, they won’t let it get out of hand.  I don’t think he will be good enough to make a difference.  At the end of the day, it’s nice to see the Red Sox scrambling for a change.
