Is this guy for real?
by John SA beautiful bunt to break his o-fer and get himself back on track. Three hits in a game when the three hits are so historic.
He even has the power to get the cone of silence from Michael Kay and YES from commenting on his girl friend celebrating along with his family in the luxury box.
After the game, he turned off robo-interviewee style with Kim Jones and looked relaxed and happy to be interviewed.
He gets acknowledged by many on the Tampa bench for his milestone. Keeps his crowd tip of the hat brief so as to not “disrespect Tampa”. (Just like Rickey Henderson was so restrained in celebrating his stolen base record.)
You can have a hundred Barry Bonds types spead through out the league but with one Jeter a love for the wonderfulness of baseball will never die. Proud to be a NYY fan!!

Jeanne and I noticed the “Cone of silence” treatment. Minka Kelly was jumping up and down and high fiving Jeter’s mom and dad like the cheerleader she plays on Friday Night Lights and not a peep from Kay. Amazing. Not even a “there’s Minka Kelly” in the suite comment. Just shows the respect that he gets for the respect he gives. By the way, I would guess if Minka’s in the suite high fiving mom and dad, then Jeter did indeed pop the question. She’s in the inner circle of trust.
Was anyone at the game last night? Coincidentally I purchased two tickets to Sept. 11 game way back in April. Lauren and I sat in that God-awful weather … but we were there … Sec 324, 3rd row, btw home & 3rd. Got a few decent pictures. I’ll share with Mike & Russ and they can pass them on if they feel they’re worthy.
