Ten things I won’t miss about the 2009 season

The regular season is over. And, while I love baseball, there are ten things I won’t miss now that the season it over…
10. Cellino and Barnes Injury Attorneys:  “Call the firm” and tell them to stop. PLEASE stop making commercials.
9. Pazer, Epstein, & Jaffe: “The are no files numbas, no coded numbas, de’re names…cause we [...]

I’ll take a tie for first

If you think I would have given up a tie for first place just so I can beat you, I’m going to start calling you Joba because you’re deluding yourself.  I didn’t even look at how it would affect me before I made the rules.  I only counted average as half-points because I though there [...]

Without Rules we are animals!

So the conspiracy rages on.  Mike G has come up with a new fangled way of calculating so that he can move back into 2nd place.  How pathetic.
How long did it take you to come up with a formula that gave you less points than me?  Huh?  Guessing the final season batting average is even [...]

Even though I made the rules…

I think getting HR’s and RBI’s on the nose should make me the clear cut winner.  Sorry Mike.  I’ll give you a little taste of the Balvenie I intend to give to myself.

To hell with the rules!

That Joe guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.  While the “2 point system” rewards those who guessed a specific stat exactly, it doesn’t account for how close or how far they were from the other stats.  In the spirit of sore-losing, I suggest a more fair way to score:
Points will be given matching the [...]

when is roundtable post season?

Sorry, haven’t been around.  Too lazy to go back and read the thread.  Nice job A-Rod on reaching the plateaus.  They are tainted of course.
I’ll see if I can get permission to go.

ANNUAL PLAYOFF GATHERING

I will host our annual playoff party (let’s forget last year) at my home at 6:30 PM.
Please let me know via email if your coming.  Go Yankees.

Tigers and Twins

Well – are we hoping for either team here? No Tigers and no Verlander but the Tigers have been choking down the stretch for the most part and the Twins are on a roll. Pavano keeps the Twinkies in contention! He had something like 26 decisions this year, when he played  for us he barely [...]

Al Gore Demands a Recount!

After I was contacted by lawyers for Ellen who demanded a recount, I went back and looked at Joe’s Post concerning guessing A-Rod’s Final Season numbers.  The “rules” of the contest were described as such:
Here are A-Rod’s stats through last night.  What will they be at the end of the regular season?  Let’s see which Roundtabler [...]
