Get your head out of your stupid book and watch the way your guys are pitching.

“What the hell are you doing Joe?” – That’s what I said as soon as Girardi started walking towards the mound.

I couldn’t believe he was taking Robertson out of the game.  The guy was sharp and got two quick outs. Aceves has only looked bad in the playoffs.  Neither pitcher had much of a history facing Kendrick.  Even if there was a history, unless it said that Robertson got smoked by Kendrick every time, you leave him in the game.  If it were me, I let Robertson finish the inning.  Then, if the Yankees score, I leave him in to close out the game.  He’s the only smoke-thrower you have left in the pen and he’s proven that he can handle the pressure.

I thought all of this before Aceves even gave up a hit.  I wasn’t even thinking that he would blow up the game right there.

I was so ticked off last night that I couldn’t focus on anything else. I just kept saying, “How do you take Robertson out?” My wife wasn’t happy with me.
