Stop!  Stop right now, Joe!  I’ve kept my mouth shut up until now because things have been working, but this tendency that Girardi has, must stop!

Trust your eyes.  Forget the book.  I’ll jump on the bandwagon.  Robertson, who has done nothing but pitch brilliantly in the post season has to stay in that game.  He’s throwing great.  Forget the matchups – besides… it really doesn’t matter who Kendrick faces, he hits .426 against us!  Robertson is throwing the ball well, also that leaves him in the same position as he was Saturday night with only Gaudin down in the bullpen.  If Robertson hits his spots, he can get Kendrick out.  Stop with the bullpen – it’s so annoying.

Stop.  Stop, I’m begging you…. stop taking Matsui out of the game!   This applies to the other night and not so much yesterday, but this is the post season and you must defer to experience and the guys who are swinging the bats well.  Matsui is in a groove, or at least was in a groove, but if Girardi keeps taking him out, he’ll lose it.  Look, I’m all for substituting guys over the course of a long season, but this can’t happen now in a short series – Matsui needs to play, he hits well in the post season, he hits well in that ballpark, and he was swinging a hot bat. KEEP MATSUI IN THE LINEUP IF I SEE GUZMAN, GARDENER OR HAIRSTON IN HIS SPOT IN THE ORDER AGAIN, I’M GOING TO SCREAM!

Posada must play.  I don’t care what Aj Burnett thinks.  The guy is a bonafide head case, and nut job.  And unless his name is Billy Martin, I don’t let nut jobs manage my ballclub!  I don’t care what his opinion is.  Molina was not any more successful blocking balls than Posada.  But you what?  Read this: POSADA CAN HIT WITH RUNNERS IN SCORING POSITION!  POSADA HAS BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD BEFORE AND HE’S MORE LIKELY TO PULL YOUR SORRY ASS OUT OF THE FIRE BY BAILING YOU OUT WITH A BIG HR!  So, Joe, keep Posada in the lineup, I don’t care if Sandy Koufax says he’s going to pitch for you tomorrow and he wants Molina to catch – you tell him, “Sorry, Sandy, Jorge is our starting catcher.”

Also, what’s with Girardi and Pettitte?  Girardi goes for a mound visit and the next pitch is taken out of the park?  Read between the lines: Girardi called the pitch on the mound, Pettitte disagreed and did not throw the pitch with conviction.  Girardi should know this as a catcher – (Kaat used to talk about this all the time) – if a pitcher doesn’t throw a pitch with passion, purpose and conviction – he’s just serving it up.  My guess is that Pettitte wasn’t enamoured with the pitch selection.  Girardi – leave it alone, stop micromanaging every single thing.  Let the pitchers execute – if you’re so worried about someone going deep, then f%#@ing walk the batter!

Despite all that, I feel good about today.  Kazmir is hittable, and I think our trust is well placed in the buy guy tonight: Carsten Charles Sabathia.  This was a decision I was on board with.

Kudos to Mark Tex for his outstanding defense last night.  But, Mark you do need to get a hit here.  Come on… tonight’s your night.
