A dose of perspective

The pundits have all been hyping the value of a game 1 victory.  We’ve all heard the story: the last 6 teams to win game 1 have won the World Series, same for 11 of the last 12.   They conveniently cut that off at 12 to avoid the Yankee comeback after being down 0-2 in 1996.

Good Omen?

Paul O’Neill is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch tonight.

Kill the Wabbit!

Shake it off

No one, no team was going to beat Lee last night.  That was the best pitching performance I’ve seen all year.  The guy was masterful.  Ok, it’s only one game.  Tonight the boys have to put a hurtin’ on Pedro.  Don’t look for home runs; just singles and lots of them.   I want to see [...]
