Many reasonable sportswriters will want to vote for A-Rod for HOF. Will A-Rod give voters “cover” to ”admit” votes for the more notorious of the steroid era. For simplicity we can just say Barry Bonds. Can you vote for A-Rod and not Bonds, is confirmed steroid use a pure yes/no litmus test?  Assuming A-Rod has been clean for the greater part of his career (don’t ask me how you prove that)  but Bonds was doing “the clear” even before his last at bat does that justify voting for A-Rod, not Bonds?
