The Winter Meetings start today.  Pettitte has (according to Buster Onley) indicated that he wants to play in 2010.  So its just a matter of finding the price.  That shouldn’t be hard since Pettitte is likely only looking for a one year deal.  So that’s a rotation of Sabathia, Burnett, Pettitte, (and some combination of Hughes, Joba, Kennedy or free-agent to be).

The bullpen can be put together on the cheap.   Cashman and Girardi have indicated they can figure that out.  The question is whether Cashman is lurking in the weeds on guys like Bay and Holliday.  He can let the market come to him.  With a trophy in hand, the Yanks can play it cool and realize that they are one of only a few teams with the cash to sign these guys.
