After Madoff hit their budget the Mets are not relying on docs from Lenox Hill, but the nearest local Flushing walk-in medical clinic.
(Unrelated – the History channel’s “Modern Marvels” has a show tonight about “Dirt”, including a segment on the special mud used to cut the shine on baseballs before MLB games. Wow, sounds exciting, set those DVR’s!!)
