The latest Mets’ disaster

Holy Cow they can screw anything up.  The first thing that went through my mind was that Beltran was getting back at the Mets for not treating his injury right last season.  There were rumors that Beltran was not happy with the Mets and now, he is being advised by Scott Boras to not do [...]

Beltran, who do you trust?

Beltran has knee surgery and doesn’t tell the Mets front office.  Interesting.  Do you think it says something about the trust players have for the Mets medical staff?

Canseco

Jose has faults, as do we all, but he seems to be unable to tell anything but the truth as far as the steroid issue. If Jose said he personally shot up McGwire in the butt I’m taking that statement to the bank.  No question.

Big Mac Back Track

A big “WHATEVER” goes out to the Big Mac.
He wanted to come clean.  PUUUULEASE…..   I can’t take these guys anymore.  He could have come clean at any point.  Actually, the most self-less time to come clean was when the whole country was watching you testify before Congress!  Then, you could have told the nation’s youth [...]

Big Mac UGH!

I watched Costas interview McGwire last night.  So, it was McGwire’s God given hand/eye coordination and power that allowed him to hit all those homeruns, not the steroids?  Why can’t these guys come completely clean… tell the whole truth.  They treat the fans like idiots, because they are idiots.

Taking the plunge; J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets!

Congratulations.  Hopefully it will last longer than DiMaggio-Monroe.
I’m really a Giants fan, but I grew up rooting for both football teams in the 1980’s.   My two game balls go out to Jay Feely and Mangold.  Feely, substituting in for the regular punter did a great job.  Not only did he take care of the ball [...]

Jeter taking the plunge

Amy informed me of this last night:
Jeter wedding planned for after next year’s world series.

Stupidity of Youth.

I’m listening to the NCAA National Championship game on the radio and 5 plays into the game, Colt McCoy is knocked out with a shoulder injury.  He’s currently in getting X-Rays and they are not saying whether he will be back.
The point is, this guy had a chance to come out in the NFL Draft and likely would [...]

Dawson, a Hall of Famer?

On the trivia… very good questions.  I think the guesses there are good.
On the Hall of Fame.  Come on, Andre Dawson?  I mean.. was he even as good as Don Mattingly?   He played longer – and I don’t mean to suggest that Mattingly should be in the Hall, but he only had 4 seasons of [...]

Randy Johnson related Trivia…

With the retirement of Randy Johnson, a key component to the 2005-2006 Yankees, I thought it would be appropriate to bring up some Randy Johnson related trivia.
Randy Johnson retires with a career ERA of 3.2928, currently 8th among active pitchers (both relievers and starters - min of 1000 innings, 100 career decisions), who is the active career [...]
