What are we doing?

The Yankees signed Marcus Thames?  Ok… what are we doing?  Collecting mediocre outfielders?  What do we have.. Gardener, Granderson, Wynn, Swisher and Thames?  Am I forgetting anybody?  At least he’s perhaps better than Wynn.  And, I guess Granderson isn’t mediocre.

Special Roundtable Day needed

We need to have a special Roundtable day before the season starts so that we all get a chance to slap Russ around.
Russ, pitchers and catchers didn’t report yet and although your post is tongue in cheek, you’re giving the Yankees the “Mal Occhio”  (evil eye).  If they start badly, I’m blaming you.

Worrying is what I do

John, you just swiftly dismissed the Red Sox 2010 season in a matter of 100 keystrokes.  I wish it were that easy.  Let me give you the glass half full for Red Sox fans.  We all know I look at our team and say: “Glass 3/4 empty.”
Youkilis – Dangerous hitter who doesn’t strike out, if [...]

Feed the need!

Ok, so I worry.  It’s only because I know how hard it is to repeat.  I’ve seen it.   Once you have won a world series… you want more.  More.  More.  More.  We must feed the need for dominance.  More.  Ever since 1978, it’s been life and death with the Red Sox and since about 1999 [...]

Pessimist Russ Reign Returns

Well Russ’s comment to my post shows how fantastic it is to be a roundtabler.  He’s already worried that we need Nick Johnson to get a hit off of Papelbon in the 9th (as if Boston will be leading in the 9th inning in any game against the Yankees in 2010) or that Randy Winn [...]
