I’m tired of all the analysis, articles, discussions, sports radio team reporters, hypotheses, predictions, scenarios, expert opinions……

Finally…they’ll be playing real games!

A few thoughts I have on the upcoming season:

1. C.C. Sabathia: Will the heavy workload catch up with him this year? I hope not. He saw some serious innings late last year and the year prior, I hope his beefy body holds up to the abuse.

2. Burnett: I think, if Burnett stays healthy, this will be his career year. Of course I have no data to support that, it’s just a feeling.

3. I would like to see Girardi get this bullpen into a groove to limit innings for the starters. There is no reason C.C. should be pitching in the eighth inning.

4. How will Cano perform with Melky gone? Will he pal around with A-Rod more and adopt his work ethic and focus? Why pitch to A-Rod when you can face Cano? Even if Cano is hot…I’d rather pitch to him.

5. What can we expect from a Jeter contract year? I smell a career offensive year.

6. I’ve watched Granderson in a few spring games. He’s a weak hitting, slightly above average defender with some speed. Let it be known that Austin Jackson has impressed this spring. I still make this trade, but I’m curious how it looks at the All-Star break. After signing Damon for Granderson money, this trade wasn’t just a balance sheet move for the Tigers.  I hope the Yanks did a Carfax on Curtis.

7. How many hot dogs will Nick Johnson eat?
