Is it too early to complain.
by Mike TAbout Girardi and his incessant tinkering. David Robertson through 6 pitches, all strikes and got two outs and gave up one hit. Why did he go to Chan Ho Park? I guess his magic book said something. Anyhow, I was not impressed with his bullpen management, again.
As for the rest of the game…That weak hitting outfielder hit a 455 ft HR in his first ab. Cano had a good game, as did Posada and Jeter. I would have liked to see Teix carry his good spring to Boston, but it was not to be. Posada behind the plate… Not so good, we better hope Montero’s behind the plate skills develop.

I never understood why they got Park. Or why he’s the ideal option there. Furthermore, didn’t they see that he essentially had nothing out there. The pitch to Pedroia was batting practice all the way. CC was clearly out of gas, but still it was 7-5…… Beckett was awful but that’s little consolation. Gardener and Granderson had good games, Swisher and Gardener both showed why I constantly worry about the outfield defense (Swisher on Youk’s ball, Gardener on that throw to third, I think) I mean that was one of thw worst throws I have seen and reason why Yankee pitchers should be hustling to back up (unlike CC did). Look, there was plenty of rust to go around but the schedule is tough the first month so they better shake it off fast.
