Guilty as charged; initial thoughts

I have been so guilty of misspelling names.  My biggest one: Matusi (hmmm… that’s Matsui… Russ).   We all know that we’re just quickly putting our thoughts down.  The picture was certainly funny.

Yankees Spelling Bee

We really have a name spelling problem on this site.  The amount of times that we misspell the players’ names is comical.  “Acevas,” “Gardener,” “Sebathia,” etc.  I wonder if all those Yankee players who read our site ever get upset.  I get a kick out of it every time.

Acevas to the rescue

Acevas made his first relief appearance last night and suddenly the whole bullpen was better.  This guy knows how to pitch.

Big Papi apparently went ballistic against the Boston press yesterday.  After going hitless in his first two games (ala Mark Teixeira) the Boston press reminded him of his slow start last year.

What a strong bullpen showing by us last night. Who was that guy doing the 2007 Joba impression? Two years wasted by a conversion attempt to starting pitching.
