Wierd day
by JoeSabathia pitches a 4 hit complete game, Tex and Thames homer, Yanks get a triple play… and they lose. “That’s baseball Suzyn. How do you figure that”
As for ARod, yeah he can do things that can make you scratch your head, but the pitcher way over-reacted. Calm down, get a grip. Its not a big deal. Stop with the threats.

You would think the 5-4-3 Triple play would be more common. You need strong arms, a slow runner to first, hard shot to third near the line, but the specs really aren’t much different that many 5-4-3- DP’s.
Posted about it before, but a year prior to the last NYY Triple in 1968, my brother and I were at the Stadium 6/25/67 for a Clarke-Amaro-Mantle 4-6-3 Triple play. I still think Horace “Hoss” Clarke could have pulled it off unassisted, but that’s a long ago memory, and no SportsCenter for replays!
