Girardi and Cashman are classic over-thinkers. Hughes has finally lived-up to the hype of 5 years ago, has 10 wins, has great rhythm….he’s even been able to salvage a good outing on a day when he doesn’t have his best stuff….

..so…in light of all that…

…let’s make a change…

…let’s skip a start and throw everything off…

Obviously, Girardi and Cashman have never heard the saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” What an idiotic move.

Some other positive thoughts:

  1. A-Rod isn’t the same. He’s hurting. His power is pedestrian.
  2. Jeter looks old this year.
  3. This will be the year when Andy Pettitte is no longer “a second half pitcher.”
  4. The bullpen sucks.
  5. Teixeira looks clueless at the plate. He has way too many moving parts in his swing; His hips, arms, knees, and hands are constantly moving prior to swinging. And his hitch is much more pronounced than ever.
  6. The Yanks could use a guy like Johnny Damon or Hideki Matsui right about now.

The Yanks are in first place. But make no mistake, they are their by sheer luck with the Red Sox breaking and Rays imploding.
