Note: You may notice that Matsui is missing from the lineup. That is because I believe he will be traded to the San Franciso Giants for two of their highly touted young pitching prospects before the season begins. The Giants have zero offense.

Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera are traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a mix of A and B level prospects.
Barry Bonds is signed by the Angels.

Posada will not sign with the Mets.  He stays a Yankee. 2 years $26Million with team option for 2010 for $14M (guaranteed with games caught/plate appearances etc.)  Russ has the right feel for the value.
Rivera.  I’ve commented on this before.  He stays.  1 Year guaranteed $11M with easily reachable 2nd and 3rd year options at [...]

Jorge Posada will be catching for the Mets next year. He’ll sign by Christmas.
Mariano Rivera will be closing for the Boston Red Sox. He’ll sign by Thanksgiving. Papelbon will be moved to the rotation.
